Richard Allen’s legend is a tale of courage and unyielding spiritual conviction. Allen led a spiritual revolution that uplifted his people and promoted the notion of love and compassion toward humanity.
His faith and determination would enable him to build an African Methodist Episcopal Church that would be a driving force in empowering people of African heritage and a source of inspiration for those who yearned for freedom.
