African Americans in times of war

The military history of African Americans spans from the arrival of the first enslaved Africans to the present day.

In every war fought by or within the United States, African Americans participated, from the Revolutionary War, to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as other minor conflicts. This unique multimedia performance presentation uses archival film and images, inspiring songs, and engaging commentary to   honor those men and women who risk it all for freedom and democracy.

“If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters.”
