African Americans in times of war

A multimedia theatrical performance chronicles the expansive military history of African Americans, tracing their journey from the initial arrival of enslaved Africans through every major American conflict, including the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and 21st-century missions in Afghanistan and Iraq.

This moving program incorporates archival film and images, inspiring songs, and thoughtful commentary to honor the men and women who risk it all for freedom and democracy.
